DEKALB – Preparations are underway for the demolition of the vacant Illini Tire building at the intersection of West Lincoln Highway and Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb. Work is expected to start once the Illinois Department of Transportation approves the project. The building, which was damaged by fire, has been difficult to reuse. Though there are no immediate plans for the site, the demolition will clear the way for future development.
