DeKalb Presents STARR Awards for Environmental Efforts

DEKALB – The City of DeKalb and its Citizens’ Environmental Commission presented STARR (Sustainability Through Action, Resiliency and Responsibility) Awards on April 5 during Earth Fest at Founders Memorial Library. Awards went to Rooted for Good School Gardens, Sweet Life Garden Group, the DeKalb ALDI store, Nick Dory and Saige Ruback for their contributions to local environmental efforts. The updated program received strong community participation and highlighted a range of projects improving sustainability in DeKalb.
