DeKalb Park District Announces Volunteer Cleanup Events for Earth Day and Beyond

DEKALB – The DeKalb Park District is inviting the community to volunteer for several upcoming park cleanup events, starting with an Earth Day celebration on Tuesday, April 22nd, at Hopkins Park. Volunteers will help clean up trash and debris from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. No registration is required. Additional events include the Great Garlic Mustard Hunt on May 3rd and Sock the Rocket on June 7th, both focused on removing invasive plant species from the local Nature Trail.
