DEKALB – The City of DeKalb is providing a cost sharing program to help residents add trees to local parkways this fall. Property owners can pay half the price of up to two trees while the city covers the remaining balance and manages the professional installation. The Public Works Department selected specific species to improve local nature and ensure the trees thrive in the space between curbs and sidewalks. Participants must apply by August 31 and take responsibility for watering the new plants during dry weather. This offer remains available until the deadline or until the program budget is fully spent for the year.
