DEKALB — The DeKalb City Council is expected to consider awarding a $48,500 contract to Weaver Construction tonight for the installation of two new masonry entryway signs near the Interstate 88 interchanges at Peace Road and Annie Glidden Road. The project would replace city welcome signs removed last fall because they could not be repaired. Plans include stone sign panels, brick piers, below ground foundations, and solar powered lighting. City officials said Weaver Construction submitted the lowest responsible proposal for the project.
