DeKalb Council Approves Storm Sewer Contract for Transit Facility Project

DEKALB — The DeKalb City Council approved a $321,000 construction contract with Curran Contracting Company for storm sewer and drainage improvements near West Dresser Road to support the planned Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility. The project includes installation of 2,746 feet of storm sewer pipe, replacement of damaged drainage tiles, and restoration work after construction is completed. City officials said the facility will serve transit maintenance and administrative needs near Fire Station 3 and DeKalb High School. Curran Contracting submitted the lowest responsible bid among seven companies that responded to the project.
