DeafBlind Awareness Week Highlights Leadership Across All Life Stages

CHICAGO – This week marks DeafBlind Awareness Week, observed June 22–28, and led by the Helen Keller National Center for DeafBlind Youths and Adults. The 2025 theme, “Cultivating Leadership: Together We Grow,” focuses on leadership development within the DeafBlind community from youth through older adulthood. Now in its 41st year, the national campaign promotes awareness of individuals with combined vision and hearing loss and coincides with Helen Keller’s birthday on June 27. The campaign features stories of DeafBlind leaders and includes print, digital, and educational materials for schools, agencies, and community groups.
