Davis Junction Approves Splash Pad Equipment Purchase for Park Project

DAVIS JUNCTION – The Davis Junction Village Board approved the purchase of splash pad equipment last week for $81,372.12 from Vortex International, a step required to complete the park project and secure grant funding. The board chose to move forward with the purchase ahead of the full bid process to lock in pricing and begin manufacturing, despite waiving competitive bidding. Officials noted that the selected equipment offered better quality and functionality, and that other vendors either failed to respond or could not provide comparable products.
