Custer Park Woman Sentenced In Lee County Hit And Run Death

DIXON — A 44-year-old Custer Park woman has been sentenced in connection with a hit and run crash that killed a pedestrian in Lee County. Court records show Kristin L. Kisich was sentenced to 24 months of conditional discharge after pleading guilty in December to failure to report a crash. The charge stems from a Dec. 4, 2023 crash around 9:30 p.m. near Sterling and Walton roads, where Patrick J. Yocum, 39, of Rock Falls, was struck while walking in the area, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Yocum was found by a passerby in the roadway and was taken to KSB Hospital in Dixon, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators later identified the vehicle involved as a Jeep Cherokee with significant front end and windshield damage and identified Kisich as the driver.
