Creston Water Shut Off Planned Thursday With Boil Order to Follow

CRESTON — Residents in part of Creston can expect a temporary water shut off beginning at 9 a.m. today as village crews perform work near South Main and West Depot streets. Village officials said the outage will affect properties from Booster Hall and two homes south of it on the east side of Main Street, along with Huebers and the home immediately south of it on the west side of the street. A home at the corner of Main and South streets and a home on Depot Street east of Booster Hall may also be affected. A boil order will be in effect until further notice once water service is restored. Residents are advised to boil water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, preparing baby formula, washing fruits and vegetables, and watering vegetable gardens. Residents are encouraged to stock up on bottled water and watch for additional updates from the village.
