Congressmen Reintroduce Bill To Honor Rockford Mail Carrier Killed On Job

ROCKFORD –  A pair of Illinois congressmen continue to push a bill to honor a Rockford mail carrier who was killed on the job a year ago.  Representative Darin LaHood and Representative Eric Sorensen reintroduced a measure to rename the United States Postal Service building on Harrison Avenue in Rockford after Jay Larson.  The 25-year veteran of the USPS was one of four people killed during violent attacks on March 27th, 2024 in southeast Rockford.  The incident happened while Larson was delivering mail.
