ComEd Offering $515,000 in Grants to Support Northern Illinois Communities

CHICAGO – ComEd is now accepting applications for three Power for Good grant programs that will provide a total of $515,000 to municipalities and nonprofit organizations across northern Illinois. The grants will support environmental sustainability, public safety and clean transportation projects, and arts programs. The programs include Green Region, administered by Openlands; Powering Safe Communities, administered by the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus; and Powering the Arts, administered by the League of Chicago Theatres. Applications are open through 5 p.m. CT on March 13, 2026, and previous projects funded include AEDs for the Village of Waterman and Toddler Gardens at the DeKalb Regional Office of Education.
