ROCHELLE — Extreme cold will kick off the week and is expected to return overnight. The National Weather Service issued an advisory for Illinois, warning of dangerously low wind chills during the morning hours today. Forecasters said wind chills could get as low as 25 degrees below zero, which can cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as thirty minutes. The service also noted more cold weather overnight, as a second Cold Weather Advisory will go into effect at 9 PM and continue until Noon on Tuesday.
