BYRON – Byron Bank will host its annual Lemonade Stand Contest today from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the bank’s location in Byron. The event gives kids a chance to showcase their creativity and business skills by setting up their own lemonade stands.
Samantha Ciaccio, Marketing Officer with Byron Bank said it’s a great way to introduce young minds to commerce.
“The one thing that we really want to do is we just want to teach the kids the basics of running a business in a fun, hands-on way, and then being able to come up with the plan of how they’re going to sell it,” she said.
Participants will compete in two categories: best lemonade and best decorated stand, with prizes including a bowling outing and a trip to a local golf course. 102.3 The Coyote will be broadcasting live during the event, and attendees can also win ByronFest wristbands.
