Board Recommends Thomas Devore’s Law License Being Suspended

SPRINGFIELD —  A legal disciplinary hearing board is recommending that the law license of downstate lawyer Thomas DeVore be suspended for 60 days.  The suspension was recommended in a report by the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission hearing board.  The report claims the former Republican nominee for Illinois attorney general committed a series of infractions, including having a sexual relationship with a client whom he represented in challenging Governor Pritzker’s COVID-19 restrictions in 2020.  The Illinois Supreme Court can decide whether to impose the hearing board’s recommended suspension or take other disciplinary action.
