Board Of Trustees Approve Appointment Of Isbell Jr. As U of I Chancellor

CHAMPAIGN —  Charles Lee Isbell Junior is inching closer to becoming the 11th Chancellor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  The U of I Board of Trustees approved his appointment yesterday.  The former University of Wisconsin provost is set to take over as chancellor and vice president of the University of Illinois System on August 1st, replacing outgoing Chancellor Robert Jones.  Jones is leaving to become the next President of the University of Washington.
