Bears Fans Lead NFL in In Game Drinking

CHICAGO — A new survey says 78% of Chicago Bears fans drink alcohol during games, the highest rate among NFL fan bases. The Action Network measured food and beverage consumption across all 32 teams and found Bears and Atlanta Falcons fans averaged 2.7 drinks inside the stadium. Beer at Soldier Field generally costs between $10 and $16. Bears fans ranked fourth in total game day calories, averaging 990 calories from beer and hot dogs. The Bears open the season at Carolina on Sunday, Sept. 13.
