Aermec To Build First U.S. Manufacturing Site In DeKalb

DEKALB – Gov. JB Pritzker announced Thursday that Italian HVAC company Aermec will build its first U.S. manufacturing site in DeKalb. The company plans to invest $15 million in an 186,000 square foot facility in the Park 88 Subdivision and create 30 full time jobs. The facility will produce heating, ventilation and air conditioning products, along with climate control and energy management systems. The project on East Fairview Drive is supported by an Economic Development for a Growing Economy agreement with the state that could provide the company with up to a $1.1 million tax credit. The company selected DeKalb after considering locations in several states. State officials said the project also will support construction activity and local suppliers and service providers. Aermec has served customers in the United States and Canada for more than 20 years.
