OREGON – The murder trial of 42-year-old Duane Meyer, accused of killing his ex-wife and son in a 2016 house fire, will remain in Ogle County. A Judge on Wednesday delivered the decision on a venue change that was proposed by his attorney. Meyer faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and aggravated arson, for the fire that killed Margaret Meyer, 31, and her 3-year-old son, Amos, in Byron. No trial date has been set.
