LEAF RIVER – An opportunity to donate much needed blood will be coming to Leaf River on Monday. The Rock River Valley Blood Center will be holding an event hosted by the United Methodist Church from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Appointments are suggested at RRVBC.org but walk-ins are always welcome.
Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said that those with O-Negative are especially in demand.
“O-negative blood and platelet donations are especially important in times of shortage as they’re required for complex medical treatments and emergency surgeries,” she said.
United Methodist Church is located at 104 E. Third Street in Leaf River.
