Rochelle Considers Price Adjustment for Phase 2 Electric System Upgrades

ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle amended a resolution to authorize a price adjustment for engineering services provided by BHMG Engineers, Inc., related to Phase 2 upgrades of the city’s electric system. Originally approved in 2021, the project has expanded to include upgrades such as a new transformer, substation improvements, and multiple transmission lines. Due to the project’s evolving scope, BHMG has requested additional funding, bringing the engineering total to just under 10% of the estimated $20 million project cost.
