Fire Damages Sycamore Home; No Injuries Reported

SYCAMORE — A fire early Saturday morning caused significant damage to a home on Crescent Drive in Sycamore, leaving it uninhabitable and resulting in an estimated $175,000 in damage. The Sycamore Fire Department responded around 3:30 a.m. and quickly brought the fire under control within 15 minutes. The blaze was contained to an upstairs bedroom, with additional smoke and water damage throughout the house. All occupants safely evacuated, and a cat was rescued and treated at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
