Lee County K9 Dax Receives Donated Protective Vest

DIXON — Lee County Sheriff’s Office K9 Dax has received a bullet- and stab-resistant vest donated by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., a nonprofit that supports law enforcement dogs nationwide. The vest, made in the U.S. and certified by the National Institute of Justice, was custom fitted for Dax and features an embroidered message recognizing the donation. Since 2009, the organization has provided more than 6,000 vests to K9s across all 50 states through private and corporate donations. The protective gear helps ensure the safety of dogs actively serving with law enforcement.
