THOMSON — Cuts are coming to Thomson Federal Prison. AFGE Local 4070 President Jon Zumkehr says the Federal Bureau of Prisons is moving forward with plans to eliminate 70 law enforcement jobs at the prison. He said the move was decided in Washington DC, claiming the cuts will make the facility less safe for staff, inmates, and the entire community.
