Illinois A.G. Joins Fight For Protecting Immigrant Status

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul is joining more than a dozen states to protect against what they say are “unlawful and baseless” attempts to strip temporary protected status from Honduran, Nepali and Nicaraguan immigrants. Raoul and others argue in a case against the Department of Homeland Security the move has devastating economic and humanitarian consequences.
