OREGON — Ogle County received a clean financial audit for the fiscal year ending November 30, 2025, according to results presented by Nick Bava. The audit firm Sikich issued an unmodified opinion, the highest level of assurance, stating the county’s financial statements are free of material misstatements. The county reported $1.8 million in grant spending, including $1.2 million in federal funds and about $600,000 in state funds. Because federal spending exceeded $1 million, a federal Single Audit was required, including review of American Rescue Plan Act funds. Officials said the county received a clean compliance opinion with no findings or questioned costs. Bava noted the audit process takes about six months and thanked County Treasurer Tiffany O’Brien and other departments for their cooperation.
