ROCHELLE — An independent audit of the City of Rochelle’s finances for 2024, found the financial statements accurately reflect the city’s financial position. The audit, conducted by Sikich LLP, was given to the Rochelle City Council last week.
Lindsay Fitch, Principal CPA from Sikich, presented the findings and answered questions. She also reminded the city council that Rochelle earned their 10th annual Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
She noted that the city’s financial records meet generally accepted accounting standards in the United States.
