SYCAMORE — A tractor struck power lines and caused damage to a residence Saturday night in DeKalb County, and the driver left before authorities arrived, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the crash happened around 8:02 p.m. in the 5000 block of Duffy Road when a westbound John Deere tractor was unable to clear a power line connected to a home and struck it, causing the lines to break and pull away from the residence. The driver reportedly told residents where he worked but did not provide further information or remain at the scene for ComEd or law enforcement. No injuries were reported. Officials said power was restored in a timely manner and the incident remains under investigation.
