OREGON — The Oregon City Council voted Tuesday to buy a home at 131 South 3rd Street for $62,000 as part of ongoing efforts to clean up and improve the downtown area. The property, located at the corner of Jefferson and South 3rd, is expected to be turned into parking to help ease demand during local events and support nearby businesses. The purchase will be paid for with Tax Increment Financing funds. A tenant living in the home has already found new housing and plans to move out soon.
