(Phoenix. AZ) — Bears President Kevin Warren is setting a new timeline for building a new stadium. He said he’s hopeful to have a decision by late spring or early summer.
Warren spoke before the media Wednesday at the NFL annual meetings in Phoenix. He added that the sites at Arlington Heights and Hammond, Indiana are both excellent locations.
If the Bears break ground on a sports venue this year, it would be on a timeline to open for the 2029 season. The team will continue to play at Soldier Field in the meantime. Their lease runs through the 2033 season.
