Illinois Taxpayers Reminded to File by Oct. 15 to Reduce Penalties and Interest


SPRINGFIELD – Illinois taxpayers who missed the April 15 deadline are reminded that it is not too late to file and minimize penalties and interest if a balance is owed. While the deadline was almost three months ago, the Illinois Department of Revenue grants an automatic six-month extension of time to file a return with the deadline being Oct. 15.
