Illinois Treasurer Announces 2026 Cream Of The Crop Youth Photography Contest

CHICAGO — Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs is inviting young residents ages 8 to 18 to enter the 2026 Cream of the Crop Photography Contest featuring agriculture themed photos, with a submission deadline of June 12. Winners in three age groups will receive Bright Start college savings scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000, with first, second and third place awarded in each category. The contest, now in its 14th year, allows each student to submit up to two photos, with winning entries to be featured in Ag Invest materials, the 2026 Illinois State Fair and the annual Cream of the Crop calendar.
