NIU Vice President/Director of Athletics and Recreation Sean Frazier, Matt Majkrzak, and NIU President Dr. Lisa Freeman
NIU officials introduced their new men’s head basketball coach on Tuesday.
Matt Majkrzak has been named to the position after the past 7 years as head coach at Northern Michigan University.
Majkrzak had a record of (136-73) which included (28-7) this past season.
He led the Wildcats to 4 consecutive NCAA Division II Tournaments.
Majkzak takes over for Rashon Burno who resigned after this past season following 5 years at NIU.
