DIXON — The annual Brush & Bloom event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 4, at the Lee County Courthouse sidewalks, where artists of all ages can paint sidewalk squares using supplies provided by Discover Dixon. Part of the Petunia Festival, the event offers advance registration through today at $15 while day-of registration is $20 based on availability.
Jennifer Lang with Discover Dixon says everyone is welcome.
“We invite all ages to come get creative,” she said. “We provide all the paint, the paint brushes. You just bring yourself and that creativity and we will designate a square to you.”
Paint will not be handed out after 11 a.m., and no refunds will be given if the event is canceled due to weather.
