Illinois has advanced to the second round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament following a 105-70 win over Penn.
After leading by 10 points at half time, the Illini out scored the Quakers 65-40 in the second half.
Illinois was led by David Mirkovic with 29 points and 17 rebounds along with Keaton Wagler with 18 points and 7 assists.
The Illini are now (25-8) for the season.
Illinois will play VCU on Saturday. VCU upset North Carolina 82-78
