DEKALB — The DeKalb County Farm Bureau has received a $9,000 grant from Meta to relaunch its F.A.R.M. Bags program, providing hands-on agricultural science and inquiry activities for families. Each monthly bag focuses on a different agricultural theme and includes materials, instructions, and related reading to help children explore farming topics with their families. The bags will be offered free through local public libraries and can be used for take-home projects or family-focused library events. High school FFA members will assist with assembling and delivering the bags. The program is designed to increase community understanding of agriculture and its impact on daily life and will resume in September.
