MONROE CENTER – The Rock River Valley Blood Center is collecting blood today from 2 PM – 6 PM at the Double-O Saloon in Monroe Center. RRVBC relies on community donations to supply 14 hospitals in northern Illinois. Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said that the Double-O is a great place for anyone with the O blood type to donate.
“If you are O negative or O positive, and you haven’t donated in the last 56 days, we are asking you to please come in and donate blood again soon because your blood type is especially needed,” she said.
