Ogle County Health Department Warns of Disposal Dangers at Oregon Office

OREGON – The Ogle County Health Department is asking the public to stop placing needles in the pill disposal bin at its Oregon location. Staff members face injury risks when emptying the medication box because residents are not using the correct containers. People must place all sharp items like needles and Epipens into the red bin on the left. The box on the right is only for pills and vitamins. Following these rules ensures the safety of workers and the proper disposal of medical waste.
