DeKalb County Hosts Recycling and Collection Events March 28

DEKALB – The DeKalb County Health Department will host recycling events at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 2200 Pleasant St., on March 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A free clothing and household textile collection will accept clothing, shoes, accessories, bedding, curtains, towels, and books in any condition, but wet or dirty items and certain household goods will not be accepted. The county will also collect aerosol products, latex paint, single-use propane tanks, and other household chemicals, with fees for latex paint ranging from $3 for a quart to $22 for a 5-gallon container, payable by credit card or Apple Pay. Items must meet specific packaging requirements, and some products, including self-defense sprays, expanding foam, and oil-based paint, will not be accepted.
