Police Warn Of Phone Scam Targeting Rochelle Businesses

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Police Department is warning residents and businesses about a phone scam after a caller falsely claimed to be with the department and asked a local business about counterfeit money and closing procedures. Police said the caller was not with the department and that they will never ask for sensitive information by phone.
