OREGON — A 28-year-old Mount Morris man was found guilty last Wednesday in Ogle County court of resisting a peace officer causing injury, three counts of resisting a peace officer and disorderly conduct after entering a girls locker room at Oregon High School and fleeing police. Franklin T. Houston was convicted following a jury trial. He was found not guilty of trespassing and a separate count of resisting a peace officer causing injury. Police said officers received a report in August 2025 that a man had entered the locker room at the Etnyre Gym. Officers identified Houston, pursued him on a bicycle near Park West and arrested him in a nearby neighborhood. An officer suffered a cut to her thumb during the arrest. He faces up to six years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for April 19th.
