DeKalb Council Approves City Vehicle and Equipment Purchases

DEKALB – The DeKalb City Council approved several vehicle purchases for city operations Monday night. Two 35-foot diesel transit buses from Gillig, LLC, will cost $1,372,706 and are fully funded by federal grants. The Street Division will get a 2026 Ford F-250 pickup truck for $55,536, and the Water Resources Division will receive a 2026 Ford Explorer for $38,956, both from Brad Manning Ford. The Airport Division will get a 2026 Sky Mark 5,000-gallon JetA refueler for $302,650 to replace older equipment.
