MOLINE – The man charged with the murder of Trudy Appleby is asking a judge to move his trial out of Henry County. Jamison Fisher’s lawyers filed a motion Tuesday seeking a change of venue to another Illinois county. The defense argues the high-profile case has created a climate that presumes guilt before trial. Fisher is accused of abducting 11-year-old Trudy Appleby from her Moline home in August 1996 and strangling her to death. Her body has never been found.
