ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Chamber of Commerce will host the Lucky Hub Dash on Saturday, March 14, at Flanagan Park, with Holcomb Bank returning as the presenting sponsor for the annual community race. The event will follow the bike path with the start and finish at the same location, a format organizers said worked well last year. Adult registration is $25 and includes a T shirt, while students in third through eighth grade from Rochelle and surrounding feeder school districts may participate at no cost and will also receive a T shirt. Rochelle Chamber Executive Director Tricia Herrera said that runners may sign up by emailing rochellechamber@gmail.com or visiting the Chamber office at 501 6th Avenue in Rochelle.
“The great part of this race is that third through eighth grade students in the Rochelle and surrounding school districts can run at no cost and they get a T-shirt as well,” she said. “Just report it to your secretary at your school and they’ll keep a running list of all of those that want to participate. All you would need is your name, school, and their shirt size.”
