Ellwood House Museum Launches Brown Bag Series for U.S. 250th Anniversary

DEKALB — The Ellwood House Museum and DeKalb County History Center will host a monthly Brown Bag Lunch series in 2026 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. The series begins Thursday with City Manager and historian Bill Nicklas discussing the inspirations of the nation’s founders, the lasting impact of their principles, and the meaning of the country’s history today. Programs will be held at noon at the Ellwood House Museum, 420 Linden Place, and are free and open to the public. Officials say donations are welcome, and additional information is available at dekalbcountyhistory.org.
