Illinois Expands Access to Alzheimer’s Treatments

SPRINGFIELD – A measure to expand access to Alzheimer’s treatment has been signed into law by Gov. J.B. Pritzker. The law requires the state employees insurance program to cover medically FDA-approved treatments and medications to slow the progression of the disease. The law also requires coverage for diagnostic testing for doctors to determine the best treatment.
