DEKALB — The City of DeKalb has approved the purchase of four Dodge Durango police vehicles and necessary upfitting equipment for a total cost not to exceed $266,080. The package includes one 2024 model and three 2026 models, all with full factory warranties, and will replace older units in the fleet, some more than a decade old. Funding for the purchase comes from the city’s FY2026 budget, which allocates $300,000 for police vehicle replacements. The new vehicles will meet department standards and feature standard city police colors. The council approved the acquisition unanimously.
