Rochelle Community Hospital Temporarily Tightens Visitor Rules Amid Respiratory Illness Increase

ROCHELLE – Rochelle Community Hospital has temporarily increased visitor restrictions due to a rise in respiratory illness in Rochelle and nearby communities, including a recent increase in Influenza A H3N2 cases. They announced on Tuesday that they now require all visitors to check in at registration upon arrival, prohibits visitors under age 16, limits visits to two people per patient on medical inpatient floors, and allows only one visitor per patient in the Emergency and Surgical Departments. RCH asks anyone with symptoms of illness to wear a mask while inside the facility. They noted that the restrictions will remain in place until confirmed cases decline.
