The Reds got home runs from Elly De La Cruz, Will Benson and Matt McLain.
Nick Martinez also pitched 7 shutout innings for Cincinnati.
It was only the 3rd win in the past 12 games for the Reds.
Miguel Vargas had 2 hits and an RBI for Chicago.
The White Sox will be at Wrigley Field on Friday to begin a 3-game series with the Cubs who did not play on Thursday.
