SYCAMORE — Two drivers were seriously injured Thursday evening after a collision at Illinois Route 23 and Perry Road when a 20-year-old Somonauk woman allegedly failed to yield while heading east on Perry Road and entered the intersection, where her vehicle was struck by a southbound SUV driven by a 46-year-old Shabbona woman. Deputies said the Somonauk driver was ejected and airlifted to OSF Saint Anthony, while the Shabbona driver was taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital before being airlifted to Good Samaritan. The Somonauk driver was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
